Cerval/Serval

These Kats are less well known than some of their cousins, and markedly smaller. The Cerval, also spelled Serval, is a daintily long-legged, bat-eared, graceful animal. It has a thick, short tail and a sharply pointed muzzle that is more like a fox's than a Kat's. The Cerval has a highly specialized style of hunting that involves graceful leaps back and forth in an area of tall grasses, which effectively flushes out small game, such as hares.
