These limericks were
written to teach my son's third grade class how to write
limericks.
They are simple enough for children to understand, yet
purrhaps fun for adults, too.

Chance
There
once was a poodle named Chance
Who got on her hind legs to dance.
She leapt and she whirled
She dipped and she twirled
Oh my, how that poodle did prance!
Rana
The
once was a bullfrog named Rana
Who loved to indulge in the sauna
Till that one fateful day
When he shrivelled away
Now they say that poor Rana's a gone-a
Stout
There
once was an old man named Stout
Who had a bad case of the gout
"In the hospital you must stay"
Is what the doctor did say,
Where his appendix they promptly took out!
