Tim
Please
understand I feel your pain,
I've been where you are now;
You think you'll never love again,
Not sure you even know how.
The walls you've built around your heart
To keep the pain at bay
Don't work, you see, but keep it in;
High walls just work that way...
No sun can shine upon your soul,
No beauty for your eyes;
No knowledge of Love's saving grace
Behind those high walls lies...
But bring them down and what a change!
God's grace and peace stream in
To burn away the hurt and pain,
And let Love shine again.
It seems like they will never end,
The cruelties you face,
Tear down the walls and live again-
Let Love the pain erase...
