| This striking cat is called the Mint Leopard by the Chinese because
its markings resemble the leaves of the local mint. The coat varies from
pale to rich brown and the head is marked with black bands. The short ears
are round and black, with gray central patches. The underparts are pale
or white, and the tail is banded with black rings. |

forests. |
| Habits: Probably
hunts by day. Mainly arboreal. |

up to the size of small deer, birds. |

to Southeast Asia. |
| Additional Notes: The
