Fishing Cat

Felis (Prionailurus) viverrinus
head and body 32 inches, tail 12 inches, weight 25 pounds
Very like a civet cat in appearance, the Fishing Cat is of a clumsy build, with short, coarse gray fur. Dark brown spots run in longitudinal stripes.
Habitat: Marshy areas, reed-beds, mangrove swamps.
Habits: Hunt during the day. Terrestrial.
Prey: Fish, mollusks, frogs, small mammals, snakes, birds.
Distribution: South and Southeast Asia, Sumatra.
