Flat-headed Cat

A very unusual cat, about the size of a domestic cat, with a very long body, short legs and a short tail. The head is broadly flattened, with a ridge formed by the nasal bones. The coat is reddish-brown, shading to dark brown, and the underparts are white. A yellow line runs from each eye to the ear, and dark lines etch the cheeks. The thick tail is reddish-brown above and yellow-brown underneath.
Habitat: Low-lying country near human habitation.
Habits: Nocturnal. Terrestrial.
Prey: Fish, frogs, fruit, sweet potatoes.
Distribution: South Asia, Sumatra, Borneo.
