Leopard Cat

Felis (Prionalilurus) bengalensis
head and body 25-32 inches, tail 10-14 inches, weight 7-15 pounds
This species varies considerably in color and markings. The base color is anything from gray to red, with light or white underparts. Dark spots cover the body, and the head is boldly striped with black and white. The ears are black with white spots.
Habitat: Forest regions of both high and low elevations.
Habits: Hunts both day and night. Mainly arboreal.
Prey: Game birds, small mammals, fish, squirrels, hares.
Distribution: Kashmir east to Siberia, China, and the Philippines.
