Marbled Cat

Felis (Pardofelis) marmorata
head and body 17-24 inches, tail 13-21 inches, weight 4-11 pounds
The head of this cat is short and broad, with short, rounded ears. The coat is beautifully marked, similar to that of the clouded leopard, the dark spots outlined sharply in black against the paler background color.
Habitat: Forest.
Habits: Day hunter. Arboreal.
Prey: Mainly birds, squirrels, frogs, and rodents.
Distribution: India, Nepal, Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo.
Additional Notes: Thought to be solitary. This cat has the longest tail in proportion to its body of any cat.
