Margay

head and body 26 inches, tail 16 inches, weight 9-18 pounds
Often called the "Little Ocelot", Margay or Marguey is translated literally as "Tiger Cat". Slimly built, with long legs and tail, the Margay has a light coat marked with dark brown.
Habitat: Forest.
Habits: Hunts by day. Arboreal.
Prey: Birds, tree frogs and lizards, small mammals.
Distribution: South and Central America.
